What Distinguishes TraceBale?

For over a decade, we have been working with brands and retailers to help them address the challenges of complex, remote supply and to map their supply chains effectively at each critical stage, from farm group level to finished product, supporting greater transparency and traceability at key stages of the supply chain. TraceBale is the culmination of extensive work in the sector to understand the challenges in the complex textile supply chain and achieve digital traceability that enables retailers to trace a garment back to its earliest stages.

bottom-approach-1-1

Bottom-Up Approach

TraceBale is based on a ‘bottom-up’ approach of data gathering and provides in-depth visibility into the cotton journey, from farm group level to finished product.

Trace the Origin

By providing visibility into the processors involved at each critical stage, TraceBale empowers brands to trace the origin of their products. Retailers can now track and verify the source of the raw materials and the key stages in the product’s journey through the complex supply chain, supporting greater transparency and accountability.

Robust Hybrid Traceability Model - Digital and Physical

An integrated digital and physical traceability material platform is an optimal traceability solution for a textile supply chain. TraceBale enables brands to trace their product digitally through data and physically through DNA markers across key stages of the supply chain. Brands can address the challenges of providing traceability data necessary for compliance with stringent regulations, supporting both sustainability claims and broader supply chain transparency through TraceBale.

Supply Chain Data Analytics

TraceBale provides near real-time data analytics and a data visualisation dashboard, for brands to make insight driven and timely business decisions, thereby making their supply chain more efficient.

CottonConnect helps brands access more sustainable cotton and other natural fibres that meet recognised sustainability standards, helping to ensure traceable and resilient supply chains. With headquarters in London and teams on the ground across the globe, CottonConnect supports producers and raw material farmers in working more responsibly and improving their livelihoods. CottonConnect helps farmers improve their livelihoods and reduce the impact of cotton production on the environment. Through our training programmes, we support cotton farmers in sustainable raw material production with practices that aim to reduce water usage, dependence on chemical fertilisers and pesticides, and input costs, thereby increasing profits. The clock is ticking for brands, retailers, and suppliers to address the industry's key environmental, social, and governance (ESG) challenges head-on. Building a more resilient and transparent supply chain requires partnering with suppliers to improve their sustainability and operational practices.

We have been using TraceBale services to manage our organic cotton supply chain. It is a user-friendly platform that provides simplified access to our data. Given the complexity of the organic cotton supply chain, managing data such as organic integrity, transaction certificates, and processing reports through one platform has helped streamline our processes. We recommend TraceBale to anyone looking to enhance the transparency and traceability of their supply chain.

TraceBale is helping us with our traceability requirement for our supply chain in Egypt. With our ongoing REEL Sustainable Cotton Programme with CottonConnect in Egypt, TraceBale is mapping the journey of our raw material from farms to fabric through various stakeholders, making it completely transparent. We are able to have a clear picture of linkages at each stage along with their challenges, which are easier to predict now. The team has been very professional and supportive during the onboarding process and quick with providing request services.

Cotton is our most used fibre, and our goal is that by 2027 100% of the cotton in our clothing will be either organic, recycled, or sourced from the Primark Cotton Project. We use TraceBale to track and trace cotton from the farming communities to the spinners in our Primark Cotton Project supply chain across India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Turkey. One of the key features of TraceBale is the versatility it can provide, especially given the large number of supply chain partners across different regions. With the new EU sustainability regulations making the assurance over evidence and data mandatory, TraceBale can be a valuable tool in supporting compliance requirements.
